How I Whiten My Teeth: Professional At Home Teeth Whitening + Giveaway

Smile Brillaint

I’ve always been a sucker for at home teeth whitening. In fact, I used to whiten my teeth every two weeks with drugstore whitening strips. However, several things happened. First and foremost it got way to expensive, second my teeth and gums became so sensitive I had to stop drinking ice water, and lastly, I got lazy.

For the past month I’ve been trying out Smile Brilliant, a professional at home teeth whitening system. They mail you a kit that includes molds, so that you can get custom fitted trays to professionally whiten your teeth in the comfort of your own home.

Having a beautiful, white, smile is so important to me. Not only is my smile one of the first things people notice, it directly correlates with how I feel. Having pearly whites boost my confidence, self-esteem and is most importantly it’s known to improve oral health.

In the past I’ve considered getting my teeth professionally whitened at the dentist, however the outrageous cost and lack of time has prevented me from doing so.

My first impression of Smile Brilliant was “wow,” this looks super easy. The instructions were simple and the supplies to make the molds for my trays were easy to work with.

I made my molds, mailed them in and a week later I was on my way to professionally whitening my teeth.

The trays I received were great quality and most importantly they fit comfortably.

I was able to see a noticeable difference in the color of my teeth after my third night. The first night I only left my trays in for 30 minutes. I wanted to get a feel for how my teeth felt afterwards. Luckily, I had no sensitivity. Smile Brilliant comes with a desensitizing gel for after your whitening session, and I firmly believe this helped my teeth not be so sensitive. After my first session of 30 minutes, every night there after I began leaving the trays in for 3 hours. Because you’re whitening at home, this wasn’t a big deal. I could still do all my motherly duties and get pearly whites all at the same time. You can’t do that sitting in a chair at the dentist!

Even after all the coffee I drink, I have yet to see my stains come back. I’ve also had several friends ask me how I got my teeth so white,so it must be working!! I am very pleased with my results and will definitely be recommending Smile Brilliant to all of my friends and family. Below is my before and after pictures. You can find more HERE. You can also find an in-depth video of the process HERE.

Mickey: The Miniature Aussiedoodle

Miniature Aussiedoodle

I’ve been getting a few questions about Mickey, a Miniature Aussiedoodle. So, I thought it would be easiest to share some background information on him here on the blog.

Mickey’s breeder is Aussiedoodle Dreams out of Georgia.

A little about Mickey..He was born August 29th, 2016. He is a multi-generational Miniature Aussiedoodle. His coat color is called blue merle, which is something we really loved about him. We also loved the fact that his coat was on the straighter side. His weight should be around 25-30lbs. We didn’t want a really large dog so that is the main reason we chose the miniature vs. the standard, who’s weight ranges from 40-70lbs.

We knew we wanted a dog that had a poodle mix. I have mild dog allergies and more importantly I can’t do shedding, I’m too ocd! We looked at several different breeds, Goldendoodle, Labradoodle, and the Aussiedoodle. The Aussiedoodle is ultimately what we decided to go with due to their adaptability, temperament, and trainability.

Mickey has been such a wonderful addition to our family. He is loving, protective, loves to play with the kids, and is a super fast learner. I would highly recommend this breed!

He gets lots of compliments on his bowtie which you can find HERE. Luckily, Mickey doesn’t have that doggy smell..yet. But, for in-between baths we use THIS deodorizing spray! His two favorite toys to play with are THIS  and THIS and of course everything else laying on the floor. lol

Any other questions please feel free to ask!! 🙂

Beach Day With The Beachmate

Beachmate-Family-Beachbag

Beach days are so much fun with kids. But it can be such a pain trying to haul multiple beach bags, beach toys and coolers down to the beach!  That’s why I’m so glad we found the Beachmate. This stylish all-in-one beach bag not only holds all of your essentials but includes a cooler, 1 large, 2 medium and 2 small buckets, as well as 2 large durable shovels. No more flimsy shovels breaking in the sand. These suckers are awesome and perfect for all ages. It also has several compartments to store things like keys, phones and other essentials so you never have to worry about things falling down and getting lost in the bottom of your bag.Beachmate-Kid-Friendly

The cooler is the perfect size to hold several drinks and plenty of snacks while keeping them refreshed throughout the day. The best part about it was that it fit perfectly in the bottom of the Beachmate. It was nice to have two free hands to hold my little ones instead of worrying about tons of bags to carry down to the beach.

I’ll have to admit, when I first received the Beachmate I was a little concerned about how big it was. But my fears quickly diminished when we put this multi-tasking bag to the test! It was lightweight, durable and user friendly.  I say user friendly because this is more than just your average beach bag, it’s complex. However, the complexity serves a purpose with its ergonomic design. It’s easy to use and when your hot, tired and ready to get the heck out of dodge it easily cleans up and packs away.

50+ Non-Toy Gift Ideas for Preschoolers

Non-Toy Gift Ideas for preschoolers

With Colton’s 4th birthday next month I’ve been thinking of some fun non-toy gift ideas for preschoolers. We all know that our kids have more toys then they know what do with. This year for his birthday I’ve decided I want to give him an experience rather than a toy.

I think it’s so important to teach our children gratitude as well as teach them to respect and take care of their things.  Statistics show the more we have the harder it is to be grateful.  I challenge you  to think outside the box when it comes to birthdays and Christmas. Some of the best presents don’t come wrapped!

Child Training Bible | The Only Bible Your Child Will Ever Need

The Child Training Bible has been such a blessing to our family. For years I have struggled with wanting to raise my children in a godly manner and have done nothing about it until now!

Proverbs 22:6 says train up a child in the way he should go and when he is old, he will not depart from it. This has always been a conviction on my heart. Am I doing all I can to “train up my children?” Honestly, I didn’t even know where to begin before I started using the Child Training Bible. Sure, we read The Bible, talked about Jesus and did a few crafts here and there. But The Child Training Bible brings Gods word to life. It’s a practical, fun and loving way to instruct our children using God word.

I know a lot of parents (including myself) who easily feel overwhelmed when trying to teach their children The Bible. Whatever you do don’t let the enemy discourage you from teaching your children valuable lessons. These are precious, valuable times and our children need us now more than ever to etch the word of God on their hearts.

The Child Training Bible hands down has been the best tool for our family when it comes to “real life” application of Gods word.

Child Training Bible

5 Ways Our Family Has Used the Child Training Bible

1. When my son is struggling with a specific issue, we can go straight to the bible to see what Gods word says about it

2. For disciplining

3. Scripture memory

4. Prayer Prompts

5. Cross referencing when doing our daily devotions.

The uses for this Bible are endless and it is a Bible that can grow with your children. There have been many occasions I have used it myself. If you have looked for ways to teach your children The Bible and bring Gods word to life I highly recommend The Child Training Bible.
